Connection-Communication exists to provide experiences that nurture parent-child connection. Healthy parent-child connection is scientifically proven to have positive outcomes for children and families. These positive outcomes include promotion of the child’s linguistic, mental and emotional development. There are many more benefits.

About connection Events

Connection-Communication events provide space and dedicated time to nurture this parent-child connection.

Parent Child Pairs

Parent-child pairs who attend connection-communication events get to engage in connecting activities together in a supportive environment.

What happens at the events?

There are a number of connection stations including social play, functional play, constructive play, games with rules, engaging with books and making a snack.

Communication pairs

• 1 parent and 1 child attend • The pair pick a connection station • The pair change stations as per their interests (and station availability) • The parent and a support therapist have a brief reflection
